The Patriot Technology 15 Index (“the Index”) is a rules-based index that aims to provide a balance between growth potential and asset protection by offering exposure to US companies that are aligned with the United States Department of Defense’s critical technologies list and with low geostrategic risk and foreign influence. It also adds a layer of risk control through the BNP Paribas intraday volatility control overlay.

In an effort to hedge against large market movements, on a daily basis, the Index methodology is designed to adjust exposure among critical technology companies with low geostrategic risk ratings and a hypothetical cash position to target an annualized realized volatility of 15%. This is an intraday volatility control overlay that observes the index volatility level during the day and rebalances accordingly one hour later at the market close.

Higher than 15%
At market close, the Index seeks to reduce the weight of its equity portion relative to the hypothetical cash position.

Lower than 15%
At market close, the Index seeks to increase the weight of its equity portion relative to the hypothetical cash position.
